Victorian Hanging Oil Lamp with Prisms

  • Circa: 1880-1900
  • Stock #: E689
  • Measurements: 24"h x 17"w X 17"d
  • Price: $325.00

This Victorian hanging lamp originally used kerosene oil. It was later converted to electric but could be easily converted back. The lamp was designed to lower and raise by pulling on the side chains. This way you could more easily light the lamp. Its height is fixed now but it can be easily changed to a longer length by using longer chains on each side. The lamp has an ornately designed brass frame with removable cut glass prisms. The lamp retains its original 14” diameter mild glass shade and clear pressed glass font bowl. The lamp is in excellent working condition.
