This mahogany mantle clock was made by Sessions, Forestville, CT. The shape of the clock case is often referred to as Napoleon hat or tambour. This solid mahogany case has more detailing than most due to the carved scrolls and multiple cove moldings. The clock has a brass bezel and a porcelain enameled face. The clock gently strikes every hour and half hour. It retains its original clock works which is in excellent running condition. The works have been professionally cleaned and oiled. The case is also in excellent condition having a rich color and patina.
