Wanamaker Banquet Lamp by Fostoria with Double Wicks

  • Circa: 1910
  • Stock #: 736a
  • Measurements: 29"h X 8"w X 8"d
  • Price: $385.00

This banquet lamp by the Fostoria Company was retailed at the prestigious John Wanamaker Department Store. The heavy clear glass base and font is catalogued as the #17 and comes assembled in 3 sections and is in excellent condition. The double wick burner has the name John Wanamaker stamped on the knobs which raise and lower the wicks and are in excellent working condition. Having a double wick burner definitely increases the amount of light projected by the lamp! There is also a lever on the burner that when pressed, snuffs out the burning wicks. It has not been altered and can be used as a functioning oil lamp. The lamp can also be easily converted to electric and we can arrange to do that for a small additional cost. The lamp has an 8” diameter, replaced, milk glass, ball shade and a clear glass chimney as well. The height to the top of the ball shade only is 27”. What a treat to find a lamp of such quality in this remarkable condition.
