This French mantel clock was made by the prestigious Japy Freres and Co. The clock has a wonderful bronze looking casting of a seated woman holding a chalice next to a standing eagle. The clock has a brass bezel with a beveled glass front. The face has an enameled dial. The eight day clock movement requires winding once a week and is in excellent working condition. The movement has been recently serviced and oiled. The clock comes with its winding key. The movement strikes every hour and half hour. The base is made of slate and has applied pieces of rich green marble on the front for a dramatic accent. The case rests on 4 cast bronze looking decorative paw feet. The case is in very good condition. What a handsome clock to grace your home or office.
