This ornate floor lamp was originally kerosene and was later converted to electric which was probably in the 1920’s. This accounts for the wire mesh shade made by the Rembrandt Company which was extremely popular during that time. The hand painted Rembrandt shades are very desirable and hard to find. The design and color greatly compliments the lamp base. Notice the shapely curved 6 sided shade. The base has decorative silver colored cast metal called spelter applied throughout the solid brass lamp frame. Notice the north wind face casting. The detail in the casting is significant! The lamp rests on 3 finely detailed cast brass paw feet. The lamp wiring is in excellent condition having 2 sockets with pull chains. The frame and shade are also in excellent condition. The lamp is extremely sturdy as well.
