This unusual curio or display cabinet is from the late Victorian or Art Nouveau period. Notice the back panel with the oval beveled glass mirror surrounded by applied carvings of stylized leaves. On either side is a pierced carved gallery. Below is a single glass door having the most wonderful cast brass hinges and key escutcheon. The door retains its working lock with key. Inside are 2 adjustable original shelves. There is an additional open shelf below flanked by small galleries. The curio rests on tall slender, serpentine shaped legs. The finish is in excellent condition having a warm color and patina.
