This solid oak Morris chair is an early recliner. The hinged back adjusts to 4 different positions by moving the replaced wooden rod. Notice the quarter sawn oak graining on the wide shapely arms supported by finely turned spindles. The chair rests on boldly carved paw feet. All the legs rest on original casters. The tufted back and seat cushions are beautifully upholstered in a soft velvet like floral fabric in shades of wine and olive green. The chair is extremely comfortable and its size and design will handle a lot of heavy use. The fabric and cushions are in excellent condition and appear to have had little to no use. The chair frame and finish are also in excellent condition.
