This solid mahogany recliner is called a Morris chair. They were the original recliner and were extremely popular from the late 1800’s thru the 1910’s. We especially like Morris chairs because of their uniqueness, comfort and sturdiness. They are built to handle use and will hold up to larger family members and friends. Notice the cast brass hardware on the back of the chair. There is a brass rod that rests in 5 different locations, allowing the chair to rest and recline at varying angles – so cool! The wide arms are perfect for resting your hands and drinks. The chair rests on boldly carved paw feet. The frame is extremely sturdy and tight. The finish is in excellent condition. The chair rests on its original wooden casters. The back and seat cushions are removable and reversible. The leaf pattern is a tone on tone of off-white and a champagne color. The chair comes with a smaller matching pillow. The fabric is in excellent condition. This is an extremely comfortable chair.
