This unusual walnut Victorian marble top étagère could serve a myriad of purposes. Its shallow depth would work well in an entryway. Its cabinet base and marble top is perfect for use as a buffet or server. And of course, it’s original purpose as an étagère to display a collection. Notice the ornate pierced carved crest of scrolling vines and leaves. The central dome shaped mirror has shapely shelves of varying size. The entire cabinet is extremely curvaceous and beautifully executed. The original marble top has elegantly curved sides. The base has a recessed paneled door with deep and bold carvings in the center panel. The door retains its original working lock and key. Inside are 2 shelves for storage. The étagère is in excellent condition having a rich color and desirable patina. The original marble is in excellent condition. The original mirror has some minor scratches or flaws along the bottom. They are not offensive and are to be expected considering its age. What a beautiful, versatile piece of furniture.
