This extremely hard to find narr4ow console or hall table is from the Renaissance Revival Victorian period. Check out the original marble and its dramatic color and veining – what a beauty! The colors are gold and shades of wine or burgundy. The top is beautifully shaped and has an ogee edge. Notice the intricately carved and shaped apron or skirt below the marble. The walnut frame is cleverly accented with ebonizing throughout. The side legs are delicately turned with additional detailed carvings and fluting. Check out the serpentine shaped center leg with the dramatic and deep carving of classical acanthus leaves, bell flowers and swags. The stand retains its original finish which is in excellent condition having a deep, rich color and patina. The frame is tight and is also in excellent condition. Tables and stands which are slender and not deep from this time period and style are extremely hard to come by – especially of this caliber!
