This solid oak desk has some unusual features. The quarter sawn figured oak top has an ogee edge. The center drawer has a lid located at the back which lifts up to reveal 2 wells to store ink bottles; a pen/pencil tray and a paper or envelope file. The sides of the desk provide additional storage by lifting up and sliding back to reveal a shelf. The back and sides all have recessed panels and beautifully finished. The four serpentine shaped Queen Anne style legs are bisected by stretchers and a wide shelf below. The finish is in excellent condition having a very desirable color and patina.
