This mahogany barrister bookcase was made by Macey. Like all barrister stacking bookcases, it comes apart in separate sections. What is unusual about this barrister is its extra wide width. These double wide barristers are hard to come by. In addition, it has delicate line inlays along the top edge and on the corner blocks and feet. The bookcase comes apart in three main pieces for ease in moving. Each section has double glass doors which lift up and slide back for easy access. Two of the doors have replaced wooden pulls. The top section will accommodate books 9” tall. The middle and bottom sections will accommodate books up to 13” tall. All the doors open and close easily. All the glass is original and in excellent condition. The finish is in excellent condition having a warm color and patina.
