This walnut Victorian desk chair is a hard to find item. What’s even more amazing is that the cast iron mechanism is still in excellent working condition enabling the chair to adjust in height up to 2 additional inches and to tilt backwards as well. The top of the chair seat measures 17.5” tall and will adjust up to 19.5” tall. The black leather looking back and seat with large brass tacks is in excellent condition having only minimal rubs, etc. Notice the acanthus leaf carvings along the top of the chair back and the boldly carved hand supports. The chair rests on a center rotating pedestal with 4 arched legs and their original casters. The finish is in very good to excellent condition having a rich color and desirable patina. The chair is extremely sturdy and will handle much use and abuse.
