This solid walnut 3 door bookcase is ingeniously designed to come apart in 14 pieces for easy transporting or getting up staircases, etc. The cabinet is from the Renaissance Revival Victorian period and amazingly is all original! There are applied panels of burled walnut throughout. Notice the canted corners with boldly carved elements on either side of the stepped out center door. All the glass front doors retain their original working locks and key. The center door has 3 adjustable shelves measuring 13” deep. The two side doors each have 2 adjustable shelves measuring 11” deep. The bookcase base has 3 hand dovetailed drawers with burled walnut panels and carved wooden pulls. Look closely and you will see some very minor repairs on a few burled walnut panels which is common and to be expected. There is a 4” sliver of wood missing along the bottom of the lower right door. This does not affect its functionality and is only noticeable upon close examination. The finish is in very good condition and has a rich color and patina. What a handsome piece to grace your home or office.
