This Victorian gentleman’s armchair has exceptional carvings. Notice the small life like cluster of grapes and leaves along the crest. These are extremely finely executed. The details are superb. The chair has an oval cameo shaped back. The graceful arm supports and seat rail display additional floral carvings. The chair rests on slender cabriole legs having their original casters. The chair has been recently reupholstered and is in excellent condition. The tufted back is expertly rendered. The frame is tight and the springs are in excellent condition also. The finish is also in excellent condition having the richest color and most desirable patina. The chair is even comfortable.
