This impressive and comfortable gentleman’s armchair is from the Victorian Rococo Revival period. Notice the delicately floral carved crest and the oval cameo shaped back. The upholstered arms have floral carvings on the arm supports as well. The same style carvings extend down along the legs and the shapely skirt below the seat. The frame is tight and in excellent condition. The finish appears original and is also in excellent condition having a rich color and patina. The wine colored velvet fabric is in excellent condition as well. Amazingly, this chair is very comfortable. The legs rests on its original casters.
