This early Pennsylvania handmade child’s rocker is all original. This style is called plank bottom and replicates early adult size rockers popular in the Pa countryside. The seats are carved from a solid plank of wood and were always painted. The back crest rail has a floral painting in colors of green, gold and red. The back spindles, seat and arms are accented with gold pin striping. The chair is extremely sturdy and stout. It will handle use and abuse. The paint and frame are in excellent condition.
