This ironstone or earthenware compote is marked Brownfield and Son. The pattern number is 115. The Asian inspired printed pattern has shades of green, blue, terra cotta, black and yellow. The compote is free of chips. There is light crazing on the surface and a small spider on the bottom of the bowl. This well-known pottery company was from Staffordshire, England and were productive from 1850-1891.
