This rare billiard ball case or holder was made by the prestigious company Orme and Sons, Manchester, England. They were renowned for their elegant pool and dramatic billiard and snooker tables in the mid to late 1800’s. The mahogany case has a hinged door on the front with 4 glass panels. The door retains its original working lock. Inside are three compartments. One compartment has 3 ball stations, another will hold 12 balls and the third will hold 16. The box is in excellent condition. The original finish has a rich color and very desirable patina. What a treat to find such a rare billiard accessory.
